Made from precious items of clothing this striking patchwork reading cushion is a lovely keepsake to have in memory of a loved one. The front pocket is perfect to hold a journal of memories or a photo album. 
 
Ideally 2 -9 items  of clothing are required. The front panel will be made up of 9 squares  with the choice of the back panel also being patchwork or made from one item. 
 
The finished cushion will measure approximately 18"/ 45cm, will include the inner pad, be fully lined and have an envelope back fastening.
 
Personalised Embroidery
If you have opted for an embroidered patch you can have any wording.
 
A rectangle patch will hold more wording than a heart patch so is more suitable for longer verses or if you want to incorporate a design such as butterflies. The heart patches will include a small embroidered heart at the bottom.
 
Take a look at our examples for ideas or supply your own wording and make it truly personal just for you. Please double check your instructions for personalisation as wording will be exactly as you have sent it including spaces and punctuation. Embroidery colour will be chosen to compliment the cushion colours however If you have a preference add a note in the special instructions. Patches will either be made from the item supplied or on a white wool felt depending on which is more suitable.
 
Special Instructions
In this box you can add a note of any special instructions. This could include any detail you want on the front of the cushion, preferred personalised embroidery colour, if you would like clothes remnants to be returned or any other special instructions. If not stated here clothes remnants will be disposed of. If you have opted for the patchwork to be only on the front panel then let us know which item you would like to be the back of the cushion. If not specified we will choose for you. 
 
More Information
Almost any clothing or blankets can be used and popular items include shirts, jumpers, dressing gowns, pyjamas and even pet bedding / blankets. Items to avoid are chunky hand knit  wool materials as these may fray when cut into.
